James Broder has 35 years experience in security and law enforcement. He has served as a security executive, instructor, consultant, and investigations supervisor. James was also a special agent with the FBI, overseas police advisor with the U.S. State Department and Special Assistant to the Chairman, Investigations Subcommittee, U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. Further, he served as security consultant with Marsh & McLennan, and the Impell Corporation.
Broder is the author of two text books, Risk Analysis and the Security Survey and The Investigation of Substance Abuse in the Workplace, both published by international publisher Butterworth-Heineman, Newton, MA. The text on Risk Analysis and the Security Survey is used extensively for security management courses in universities and colleges worldwide, and as a reference text at the FBI Academy. Mr. Broder is listed in the Encyclopedia of Security Management as one of 77 recognized security authorities in the United States.
James Broder holds a lifetime certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS). He also holds the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the American Association of Fraud Examiners. Additionally, he is listed as a Board Certified Forensic Examiner and Fellow, American College of Forensic Examiners (FACFE) and on the National Registry of Forensic Examiners. His career includes both domestic and international experience in security and investigations. Mr. Broder is a member of the Association of Former FBI Agents, and the Association of Former Intelligence Officers.
